NPU-D report

At the NPU-D meeting on January 24, 2023, the three liquor and/or wine/beer license applications for businesses in UH were quickly approved in response to motions for approval by the UHNA NPU-D rep.  The question was asked of the new business owner of the property at 1151 Chattahoochee Ave., which is to be a package store for beer/wine/liquor with the name, Affordable Spirits, as to how he saw his new business fitting into and contributing to the development going on in that area of Chattahoochee Ave.  He stated that he was re-purposing the entire building and that it would be an attractive addition to the street."

It was a 2-hour NPU meeting, primarily due to several residents of Bolton neighborhood being very dissatisfied with the activity of the newly elected NPU-D rep.  Motions were made and argued about at length until votes were taken ultimately approving, by quite a large majority, the activity of the new Bolton NPU-D rep.  Happily, there are not time limits artificially placed on NPU meetings so that issues are able to be fully aired.
