Click the picture to register< AQEarth West Atlanta, a first-of-its-kind initiative to investigate air quality and pollution issues in our West Atlanta communities.To kick-off the launch of AQEarth West Atlanta, partner organizations are hosting an Environmental Justice (EJ) Bus Tour & Workshop for community members and representatives from local government offices, academic institutions, and industry. The goal of this event is to familiarize local stakeholders with source of air pollution in their neighborhoods and promote conversations and action toward improving community health. Funded by a grant from the US Small Business Administration and National Institutes of Health, AQEarth brings precision air monitoring technology to heavily industrialized areas so that residents can understand what is in the air they breathe. Partner organizations include local non-profits CHARRS (Community Health Aligning Revitalization, Resilience, and Sustainability) and WAWA (West Atlanta Watershed Alliance)in conjunction with air quality monitoring experts at 2B Technologies, Inc. and TD Environmental Services. On August 25, 2023, a resident on Defoor Avenue reported their license plate missing from the back of their vehicle.
