There’s a runoff for a Public Service Commission (PSC) seat on July 15, 2025
Early voting dates July 7‒11.
You can vote in the runoff on July 15 unless you voted in the Republican primary in June.
Early voting locations are few: only 4 in Fulton.
Voting place will be your usual Election Day spot, double-check on mvp.sos.ga.gov. Absentee applications closed July 4th.

Why vote?

The PSC is supposed to regulate Georgia Power for the Public. Instead, the current PSC has:

- Approved six rate increases over the last two years. (The average customer is paying $60 per month more than three years ago.)
- OK'd Georgia Power plans to burn even more fossil fuel to meet massive new data-center demand, instead of adopting cheaper, cleaner options.

We need a PSC with the expertise, commitment, and independence to fight for lower bills and renewable energy.

Apparently there is only one candidate with technical electricity modeling expertise standing.
That candidate is committed to reducing consumer costs, volunteering as expert witness at PSC hearings since 2019
They are focused on the problem, exposing the PSC for consistently ignoring lower‒cost options such as renewables, in order to maximize Georgia Power’s profit.
They are endorsed by progressive State Sens Parent & Orrock & Reps Draper, Clark & Cummings.
