What is Atlanta's Comprehensive Development Plan (CDP)? What are the City of Atlanta's plans to refresh the CDP with the "Atlanta for All" process? How can updating the CDP help us to get more affordable and abundant housing?
Join us on Tuesday, February 27th for a conversation about all things Comprehensive Development Planning. During this time, we'll dig into the importance of this document, and how it can support our pro-housing agenda. Note: This is a virtual event. Zoom details will be shared upon RSVP. Citizen Science trained and certified volunteers with Adopt-a-stream conduct monthly chemical and bacterial, and quarterly macro invertebrate testing of the stream in Underwood Hills Park, a tributary of Peachtree Creek and one of thousands of sites throughout the country administered by the EPA. The latest chemical and bacterial testing revealed elevated levels of e-coli (~20,000cfu/100mL). Safe levels are <300cfu This kind of outbreak is usually associated with animal feces polluting the stream, either from pets, faulty septic systems or sewerage leaks. Please always pick up after your pets in the park, and even in your own backyard. Persons with open wounds should avoid contact with the water, and all park users should be sure to wash after contact, especially before eating.
