A case demonstrating the benefits of familiarising oneself with the NPU system, even if there's nothing directly impacting you now. From UHNA NPU-D Rep Ms Eva Nason; At the last NPU-D a huge case for the Bolton Neighborhood had 240 voting members signing in virtually (maybe a record). Those for whom the vote went the wrong way couldn't seem to sign off so, at midnight, some nice guy said the meeting needed to be over so Miss Eva could sign off! It was a case of tearing down 2 R4 neighborhood older homes on La Dawn Lane in order to put in (I think) 30+ MR-3 townhomes. It just so happened those wanting to retain R4 motioned to deny requiring a vote which turned out in their favor, and all those folks who had come on behalf of the rezoning for MR-3 townhomes didn't have a chance to have their voices heard and were pretty unhappy and not very knowledgeable about how the voting system works. If you'd like to be more informed NPU University has free resources available. If you have a something coming up that impacts you please reach out to UHNA leadership. There's a vast wealth of experience in the neighborhood! Comments are closed.
