In a brief update to the June 14, 2025, homicide at 1745 Defoor Place, two young men ages 19 and 22 have been taken into custody and charged with Murder, Armed Robbery, and other various offenses. The incident remains under investigation. In the last 2-week period (July 26 - August 8), 36 incidents were reported in Beat 204. Of those, two occurred in the area we patrol. On July 31, 2025, around 9:30 pm, a resident on Ridgeway Avenue reported a white male who arrived on a bicycle began prowling on her property. He pulled on her vehicle's door handle. Nothing was stolen. Det. Brock McClure worked overnight for the Underwood Hills Patrol. He and Zone 2 patrol units continued searching for the suspect. At around 3:00 am, they found a small van parked in the lot of the Underwood Hills Park. The license plate affixed to the vehicle did not match the vehicle. The man inside the van did not match the description of the prowler on Ridgeway, however, he was found to have outstanding warrants involving theft for his arrest. He was arrested and transported to the Fulton County Jail. The van was impounded A summary of incidents reported in the surrounding area: The Aggravated Assault incident involved an allegation of domestic violence on Bolton Drive. That incident is under investigation by the Domestic Violence Unit.
