APD is accepting applications for Class #48 of the Atlanta Police Citizen’s Police Academy. 
The Academy is FREE and open to any City of Atlanta resident or anyone who works in the City who is over 21 years of age and can pass a background check.  Please feel free to forward this to your network, friends, and family.
"The mission of the Citizen Police Academy is the education of our citizens in the operations and practices of your Atlanta Police Department. The program encourages participants to provide invaluable feedback necessary to foster enhanced police and community relations. The Academy includes 24 hours of professional instruction delivered in both in class and offsite sessions.  We require a one-night (Tuesday) per week commitment over 8 weeks from 6:00pm-9:00pm."   
The next session will take place Tuesdays– January 14, 2025 - March 4, 2025.  Applications will be accepted until December 31, 2024 or until the class reaches capacity.  For questions, please call Ms. Espy at 404.546.2531
