"I’m reaching out to request your assistance with the 2024 State of Buckhead Survey.  The response has been tremendous – surpassing our 2022 numbers - but it was overweighted with visitors. 
To make sure the data is comparable to prior years, we need the sample to be more representative of residents and workers.
Your help is crucial in ensuring the success of this survey. You'll be helping us gather valuable insights that will shape the future of Buckhead.

An update from UWCID Executive Director on the Billboard Legislation impacting Howell Mill Rd;
"It turns out that City Council approved the billboard conversion legislation, and even Cn Hillis was not able to convince his fellow council members to remove Howell Mill from the list.
NPU-D Chair Jim Martin had warned that Council sometimes ignores the unanimous staff, NPU, and ZRB recommendations for denial, but this is still a huge disappointment. 

I am talking to an attorney on Monday to ask if there is anything left to be done, but from his email to me today, it sounds like options are slim. Just wanted to share the news and I'll let you know if there is any other angle to pursue.

The first option was a mayoral veto but CM Hillis confirmed that would not be possible. Next option is to see if the city and billboard company followed procedure exactly according to the law. An open records request has been submitted to check the files.

Upper Westside Community Improvement District (UWCID) is studying opportunities to make Collier Road safer and more comfortable for all users, especially people on foot and bike. The goal of the Collier Study is to analyze opportunities, determine a preferred design, and identify a path toward implementation. Please share your feedback about Collier Road by commenting in the online interactive map! And check our Collier study website for pop-up events and more opportunities for input. ​
