Upon arrival, officers located two male victims. One victim was pronounced deceased on scene by EMS personnel. 1809 Defoor Avenue NW was heard by the In-Rem Review Board on July 25, 2024. The owner was given 30-days to comply the structure and no attempts were made; as a result, the property was awarded to a City Demolition Contractor on Jan 9, 2025. Neighbor Maria Schiffgens provides this update; The project has been awarded to a City demolition contractor and the contractor has received permits. The contractor will start the abatement for Asbestos this week and shortly after began demolition. Please allow at 45-days from today for this project to be fully completed.
