So far we have one item requiring a vote on the Agenda (a zoning variance for a house renovation), and a presentation by a developer for a project just outside Underwood Hills. In the last 2-week period (April 5 - 18), 31 incidents were reported in Beat 204. Of those, one occurred in the area we patrol. On April 10, 2025, a motorist was arrested for driving without a license on Defoor Avenue. Resident Emily Muhlberger reported tagging on the Bridge near Collier and Woodland Hills. UHNA Beautification Chair Seaver Lippit leapt into action and it was soon taken care of. Thank you neighbors! Every year Trees Atlanta do a 2-day, 12 project, 400-500 volunteer invasive removal event in April. This year also happened to be the 40th anniversary, so the goal was to incorporate the sites that they have been working in the longest. Underwood Hills park just happens to be one of those sites.
Around 40 volunteers showed up Friday April 18 to clear invasive weeds from the Certified Wildlife and Audubon Habitat at the corner of Harper St. This work enables native species that support indigenous wildlife to emerge and flourish. It's that time of year again- time for Underwood Hill's biggest social event! As in previous years UHNA is utilizing Member and sponsor funds as well as generous in-kind donations to provide free food, beverage and entertainment for all. There's be Candy floss, Corn-hole, Station 23 Firetruck, Raffle offering substantial prizes including as a Party for 6 at Your 3rd Spot, several restaurant vouchers, Braves, United and Miami tickets!
