Underwood Hills Park
Underwood Hills Park is a City of Atlanta park and a beloved part of the Underwood Hills neighborhood. The park includes a playground and workout equipment for all ages, a covered picnic area, tennis courts, basketball court, ball field and a meandering, paved path that takes you through a nature preserve and over a small creek.
The UHNA and our neighbors invest both time and money into making sure our park is the gem of our neighborhood and an amenity for everyone to enjoy it. We organize semi-annual Park Cleanup events where we tackle projects ranging from planting and pruning to trash pickup to painting benches and staining playground equipment. We serve as a liaison to the City of Atlanta Parks Department. We raise funds and apply for grants for capital improvements, and we perform ad hoc services as needed.
The picnic area and ball fields are available on a first come, first served basis. Depending upon the size of your event, an event permit from the Mayor’s Office of Special Events may be required. For questions or inquiries about how to support the Park, contact Steven Lindsay, or read more about the UHNA Beautification/Park Committee.
The UHNA Teen Park Committee is a great way for teens to get involved and help give back with special projects. From fundraising through city contributions, grants and private donations, they have helped install new workout equipment, swings and other amenities. For more details, email email@example.com.
You can support these efforts by making a tax deductible donation through our Friends of the Park group with Park Pride. Click the button below or send a check with “Underwood Hills Park” in the memo to Park Pride, 223 Peachtree St, Ste 1600, Atlanta, GA 30303. Your financial support of the park allows us to channel our beautification funds to other areas of the neighborhood where we’d like to make an impact, such as our neighborhood entry signs and getting new Underwood Hills street sign toppers.
